Sarawak Traditional Borneo Local Selukai Asli Mosquito Repellent⁠

Natural mosquito repellant⁠ Kayu selukai is the dried bark of Goniothalamus longistipes trees. ⁠ They are all small trees of the under-storey in the forest. The bark is aromatic, strong and stringy. The dry bark is sold as kulit selukai, and burnt to keep mosquitoes and evil spirits away. They are still sold in tamus in Sarawak.⁠ ⁠
